What your first really great memory?

What's your first really great memory in Gothic? Please don't say finishing the game... cos' if that's your first really great memory... what were you doing playing through the whole game?

For me; erm... I'd have to say killing a Snapper. I had several really bad run-ins with them early on till I froze with fear everytime I saw them. I'd even hit 'esc' to reload the minute I saw one starting its chase, cos' I knew one bite was all it took.

Then the day finally came... when I took them out with a crossbow and killed them dead before they could reach me. Boy was I so pleased with myself.

Of course when I started to kill orc dogs, orcs and bad people in droves I got the same feeling... but the first time will always be the first time.

I really enjoyed the fact that I could make a sword. Simple yes, but making your own sword, then using it was fun.

Hey yeah! I never really thought of that. But it's because I never really made my own sword... or any sword for that matter. Another reason to play Gothic again.

My greatest memory was the time when I fight the golems for the first time. I didn't read the books with hints at that time, so I spent some time trying to figure out how to beat them. When I fight the Stone one with a sword, I couldn't damage it at all and I kept on asking myself how am I gonna beat it over and over again. That was my greatest experience.

Do you go right? Or do you go left? A simple decision, yes? No ambiguities. Only the dream of the path not taken! And so one might stand in this place and contemplate for a long while. What will I miss if I go left? What will I lose if I go right? And in my indecision, have I chosen a worse fate?

My greatest moment was when I found out you could fry the meat and sell it for more money.

My proudest moment was when I was finally accepted as a guard. The speech by Thorus made me truly feel that I was part of something. When I spoke to Gomez & Raven for the first time I was smiling ear-to-ear.

Well, it was at that time i realized that "Me" had to be quite an effective smoker, if he could smoke 6 hours without loosing any control of himself Gothic is so unrealistic!!!
