why would they change that in a patch ? aint patches ment to fix stuff ?

Yes, and also to add stuff. The Chromanin quest was added that way, right? |

Very interesting this new thing. Right now I can't try with gothicmod.exe since I don't have the player kit installed but I tried and I didn't find anything green but the torch made many graphical errors.
About the FPS where do I get the patch??? I have desired it since I bought the game, with my graphics card I can play 10 instances of Gothic at the same time and with only one why do I have to get 25FPS?!
@Squeek: I'm only curious, but how can I make the column fall, even if it falls the wrong way? Should I use a combination of keys?
@Wulf: Sorry for not replying but I have been very busy. The school is killing me these weeks. I don't have enough time to do this, perhaps even if you uploaded the saved game i would not be able to play but the next week there are holidays and I'll give it a try! P.S.: How do you know that this is the right way not to find the corpse? Perhaps you have already done some wrong things... Who knows?

you have to use the column just like you would a ladder , door or any other thing .. but as long as its turned the wrong way you have to stand on the other side of it .. meaning on that very small piece of ground before you fall off the cliff ..

I have a problem with my son. He has become obsessed to solve what I
believe is a hoax "quest" in Gothic. The hoax starts here:

having alternate ending, plus additional quests and items. One person
claims it, and another "thinks" he vaguely remembers it happening.

exists or not. I, and he, will accept your answer as FACT.
There is little use in replying to me directly. I am an IT manager,
and my son knows I could easily fake a reponse from you through email.

Well, he could vaguely remember to met an alien.
At least this would have the same probability.

All has been said in the thread already.
The point is, that the required data/files
(to produce such effects) does NOT exist.

well i have to admit that during my dig through the files and scripts of gothic in my own modding project i havent found much evidence of any of this .. but still there are many other thing that i KNOW i've seen in gothic but have never come across again and i've found no evidence of that either ..
its kinda like trying to convince a religious person that theres no god ..
you cant prove that your right but he cant prove that he is only by telling what hes seen ..
please not that i dont wanna start a debate on the realness of god cuz that would never end
