To most everyone's disgust it turns out that the bears are CA fans in disguise! They are dismayed at the lack of hair, but can not pass up the chance to lick the honey off their idol.
Lintra, sickened by the scene unfolding in the pit, decides that he needs some fresh air, and so saunters over to a near by balcony ... snagging a champagne bottle as he goes (the old one was getting a little flat and warm).

"I dunno", calls out Lintra from the balcony, "last time I looked she rather seemed to be enjoying the 'licking' she was getting".
Lintra then notices that the snakes of hair were not where Neo left them on the floor. Dang! They were crawling towards the pit, and some were approching Val, "Hey Val! Look out!" cries Lintra as he spins around and starts to run in over to help.

Jeeez, that sighting of Medusa Aguilera really made me nauseous. Time to get back to checking the guests and--

Drat, it's a snake. Janitors can't even keep this place free of big, menacing, poisonous snakes. Hmph. Now that I mention it, this place is a mess!!! I'll never get to question the guests in here. I'll need some clear space. Let's see, hmmm, I'll just move this barrel here and-- oops, it slipped! It's rolling towards the pit!
Oooh, I'm so sorry, Ms. Medusa Aguilera. I really did not mean for that barrel full of cyanidric acid to fall -- and spill -- on top of you!

Lintra grabs one of Val's gas masks, but before donning it calls out, "Hey Goshuto, what is given off when cyanidric acid reacts with honey, human, bear skins and medusa flesh? Should I don this thing?"
Realizing that by the time Goshuto replies it might be too late, Lintra straps the gasmask on.
