Valley of the Mines?

How do I get to the valley of the mines? Lord Hagen already gave me the key except I have no idea where to go. thanks

walk to the tavern and go were the sign says either pass or prison colony

When you come from the town, <hen you you reach the dead harpy turn right at a sign saying "to valley of mines" or "to valley" or.. something

The sign is "to pass" not "valley"
