I will try to help. Can't promise my instructions will be any clearer. First you need to get map for level 6 out. I will use the same numbers that the map has on it for the matching stone. So the U one is # 3, the sun, # 5 and so on. Just like on the map.
Go to the puzzle room. Stand at the end of the room near the turning stones, at the west or where you came in facing the door you are trying to get open.
If you look at the turning stone, you see two symbols showing, they are the same as the carved stones you found. You want the symbol farthest from you, on the outside edge, to match the one in the map. Do that all the way around and you will get a cut scene of sorts with the ghost telling you part two of the riddle. Also pillars are now raised around the outside of the platform you are standing on.
Now all you have to do is stand on the edge of the platform near the pillar. Look at the turning stone and you see the symbols you lined up. There is also the symbol that is showing on the iinner most part. Match the stones in your inventory with that one. Not the one close to the pillar, but farthest from it. Now you put that stone on the pillar. Just set it there like you drop items, don't use F key or action. If all of them are right the gate will open.
Hope this gets it done for you. If not tell me what part is not clear. _________________ =Member of the Nonflamers Guild=

Once you have all the stones, and are having trouble in the placement, just look at the topmost white triangles. Meaning, when you are facing the puzzle, look at the pictures inside of the white triangles on the ground facing the white triangles on the ground facing up. Like this:

except it's not jeft/right, it's up and down, OK?
Look at the one pointing down. That's the picture of the stone you need to put on that pedestal.
