No Mercy for Al-s, and a level ?

I made it to Al Sedakus, snuck behind her and attacked, chasing her until she was dead. Was I bad? Will that affect any thing in the rest of the game? I never even spoke to her! Bad Day I guess(for Her).
How high can a party level up to ? And do enemies always level up with the party? thanks again

1) Killing her will affect a minor side issue, but nothing to worry about. Chances are you'll be back to kill her anyway...

2) I've heard there's a cap at level 50, but I've never even approached it. I think the highest I've gotten was 28. Some of otter's smaller parties may have come close...

3) The autoleveller will follow you forever. There is no escape. OTOH, I've always found (playing on normal difficulty) that once my party got to level 15 or so, combat was rarely a life-or-death issue. There's a few battles that will stetch your mind, but overall it's not too stressful.

Yup, 50's all you get. I thought i would push one of my solos up that high, but the wandering around looking for stuff to kill got boring, so i gave it up at L41. (Hobbit Bishop-Lord; 24 Bishop levels, 11 Lord, Rogue @ levels 9-13)(EDIT:)

(i thought i was in the spoiler thread:)
When i went back for the Demon weapons, L9, i proceeded to kill about 30 groups of Metallic Slimes and banked the XP. (i didn't want Flesheaters, which start showing up around L10; mostly i was after their drops: Locket of Reflection, Ankh of Speed, and some of the other Ankhs.
Then i took 4 levels once i got back out to Arnika Road, and after that it wasn't all that hard, actually, because most areas do have level caps for monsters. It's just kind of extreme to push yourself above it. Really small groups have to practise a lot more to survive, anyway, and since it takes a lot more whacks to kill the M.S, they make better practise targets than plants and Highwayboys. (i prefer to evade enemies when travelling, anyway)
