What´s the difference between ...1.08k and ...1.08english ?

Hey there alexpetersmith,

Assuming you have Gothic installed and the gothicmod player-kit also, the files of the new mod mst be placed manually into the relevent folder.
The files ending in .VDF must be placed in Gothic/data folder, the file ending in .exe or .ini should be placed in the Gothic system folder.

They say they are currently translating it, but we won't get English voices, just text. Oh well, it is a lot to expect them to get different voice actors, and I'm just glad they're taking the time to translate it.

Since I just came out of hospital, English translation will still take a while I'm afraid.

Hi,

it was a lot of work to get the german voices recorded and edited (over 1700 files). So if there is someone out there, who wants to do this work (you must also find enough speakers as we only have German ones...okay our Russian translator has some Russian speakers), you can contact me and then I'll explain to you, how to do the editing.
ciao

Oh, actually there is no difference between them , I just use '...1.08english' as a easy-finding name as it is on that website...

To be honest, I am sure there are plenty of us (myself included) that would be satsified with simply English subtitles and descriptions. There is no need to go through the extra work of doing the voices if it is going to extended the release time.

If you really want to do English voices, perhaps release just subtitles first, and then once the voice work is done, release a full version later.
