Dungeon Siege 2: Review @ RPGLand

RPGLand's Eric Emerson obviously is NOT a Dungeon Siege fan in any way, shape, or form - as he reveals to us in his rather reluctant and equally ridiculous review re of Dungeon Siege 2, for which Eric somehow manages to award it a miserly 4 out of 10 overall rating...

In the end, Dungeon Siege II does a lot of things wrong, but can still provide a fun multiplayer experience. Absolute die-hard PC RPG lovers should consider picking it up, but be prepared for a technical struggle getting in the way. This game has some good things going, but developers couldn't quite rid it of the flaws that weigh down certain other PC games, like bad AI and sloppy control. Dungeon Siege II falls only 1 place short of our average, but plunges far shorter of the fans' expectations.

Scoring System

If you look at their scoring system you will see that it's not as harsh as it suggests and an average game will net a 5 and that they rarely give 10's. Most reviewers will tend to give an average game a 7 which skews the distribution somewhat.

Still 4 = below average & is still not very complimentary.

Thats about what it would get on my scale. Fable would get a 5. 5 being average and probably worth playing if you haven't got anything better to do.

If you look at the web site, it is dedicated to Japanise style so called RPGs. So, it is neutral a guy like himself, do not understand a thing about a real RPG.
