Hmm, an old topic I know...
But I was just scanning thru the ye'ole'gothic'forum...
I recently started a new game of Gothic, ( using 52.16 nvidia drivers )...
Um where was I?
Oh yeah.... Well duh it was foul play...
And of course it was Snaf...
Under what circumstances would a GUARD...
collecting Protection everyday,
need to do a favor for a cook???
I don't know about you but a couple of bowls of soup each day?
Nek would just smacked Snaf around and taken a bowl when he wanted...
We have more than enuf character reference in the game to know Nek was
not well liked. The Motive wasn't robbery... He still has the amulet.
So the motive is gonna be he's an ass... Snaf needs a cover story, and then
needs some patsy to find the body. And off I go to find shrooms.
Tho I do agree, Mud and Snaf likely had a relatioinship...
I do not see how it bares on this case.
( Hmm, Unless it was a Love Triangle and Snaf needed some Mud Love )

Hmmm...well maybe it was Snaf allied with Sly, but after they killed him they had to run away for some reason.
And I don't think Nek could just boss Snaf around. He would have many connections, and the diggers would stay behind him.
Or maybe he just hit his head with his sword while he was fighting them. The tiltle IS "retarted bag of meat", isn't it?

well I Don't know about that, even if scatty or snaf wanted him dead all they had to do was to kill him, and pay some ore to thorus to make him forget about it... much more easier than dumping him in a cave of molerats.

You got to admit tho,
No matter how retarded Nek was,
he had to pass the minimum criteria to be a guard.
And it is unlikely in any event that he would
A> be killed by molerats ( white wearing armour and a protection amulet )
B> have any need to do a favor for the cook
C> be able to resist the advances of Mud
Furthermore,
The cook should be able to get his own damn mushrooms.
The cook should trust anyone more than the newest guy in town.
Furthermore Snak is lying,
He explains to me that he has concoted this new stew from meatbugs...
However, it can be found in a number of other places.
The gentleman bow hunter that teaches sneaking,
has a number of bowls in his yard.
So Snak has NOT recently invented this, but most likely STOLEN the recipe...
And lets face it gents, even if he is the cook, he's in here the same as the
rest of us. Conviction... So we know he ain't no angel.
All of this points to a setup... A conspiracy maybe,
But a setup without a doubt... I am just the new kid patsy.
I am being setup to find the body... The molerats just got there first...
We know for a fact Nek wasn't well liked, we also know there were rumors
he was sympathetic to the new camp. Maybe Snak didn't kill him,
but he damn well knows who did and why!!!
This leaves one burning question...
Does anyone REMEMEBER who shot JR?
