XBox style voice modification to VoIP using SBAudigy2

OK, another question that I hope someone here can help me with:

I have a Sound Blaster Audigy 2, and I want to be able to apply an EAX effect to the Mic input so that when I talk to people in an online game, they can hear the modified voice (Similar to the way the XBox does it).

I have tried for a while messing around with the settings, and looked through the knowledge base on the Creative Labs site. But I cant seem to get it to work.

I can only seem to apply effects to the Output of my system, rather than the input. The Creative Knowlege Base had an article where they claimed you could add effects to recorded mic audio, but I followed the guidelines and it didnt work.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks
