post patch reviews for mmorpgs |
|
Is there a site outthere that reviews games (specificly mmorpgs) after all the initial bugs and problems are patched?
The reason I ask is because I want to buy EVE online but, most of what I have read about it is old. I only buy games if I can try them out or read enough good things about them that I dont think I will be throwing my little but hard earned money away.
--edit
Maybe I should try and elaborate, all I want to find is a site that doesnt just review the initial release, but follows up several months later.
Or someone who has played EVE recently would do.
For those who have played recently my questions are:
Is the in-game (not forum) community active?
Is the game buggy?
Is travel time extremely long or just go get a hotpocket long?
Are the alternatives to mining very profitable?
Can I download the client and subscribe or do I have to buy a boxed copy?

Actually, we are trying very hard to provide you with what you are looking for right here on mmorpgdot. If you look at our Reviews section, you will see that we published a couple of status reports for SWG after the original review. We also published Status reports on AC2 and ATiTD, as far as I can remember...
But it is hard to keep track of though. As a web site we need people to play these games to actually produce status reports, and we just don't have the man power as of right now. Actually, I don't know a single site that could do this for every game. My best advice to you would be to find fan sites that cover the game you are looking at and read what's going on there. The problem with that is that you'll never really get a truly impartial point of view. _________________ =Proud Father of a new gamer GIRL!=
