Possible to play Arx in harder difficulty mode?

Hi,

I've completed Arx Fatalis, can't wait for the sequel. I'd like to go through the game again as a fully bred warrior, and was wondering if it was possible to play through Arx Fatalis in a harder difficulty mode ? Such as monsters being tougher, so I can have some lengthy battles with them.

Cheers.

Welcome to the Dot.

No way I know of to increase the difficulty of the NPC's you meet, but you could always limit using your skill points and keep your character at low levels. Some people have tried to play only as a thief and mage, which was very hard at the beginning 2/3 of the game. Once you can master all the spells, things get easy of course. I don't know of any other tricks to try, besides trying to stealth your way through.

Hello Cm, thanks.

Yeah, it's a shame, I'm playing through Arx as a warrior, and it feels a little easy even. I'll pin all my hopes on Arx 2 being a more challenging game, especially for the warrior.
