I'm a big fan of the olden goldies... I do not really like the crap that I hear on TV nowadays. I rather listen to some Doors, Rolling Stones, Queen, ABBA, Smokie, Roxette and many, many others. Of course, I like romanian music, but I'm not gonna bug you with that...

Hm... I think I answered on this question many times...
The fact, that I'm leader of music band here means a lot.
Yes, I can surely say that I live listening music =)
And surely I have no favorites. I like oldies and goldies. I love all classic Rock and Hard Rock bands... Many metall bands (Black Sabbath, Metallica, Blind Guardian, Dio's solo albums, and so on...). I love Shocking Rock bands (Alice Cooper, KISS and so on...).... And many more... Heh I even love middle age’s and ancient music (I've got plenty of it, for example I really like Blackmore's night) and Fantasy music. And that's really not all music I like.

You're not the only one, dude... Just because I like especially rock, doesn't mean that I hate hip-hop. I like very different genres (electronic, pop, techno etc.).
Anyway, a year ago I was crazy about hip-hop... DMX, 2 Pac, Ja Rule, Puff Daddy (or P. Diddy, whateva'), Ludacris, Capone'n'Noreaga and so on...
Now, I like more the old hip-hop, with the MC's: Public Enemy, Naughty by Nature, NWA, Run DMC, MC Hammer...

I listen to rap music, but i mostly lik rock and hard rock, Metalica espesially Nothing else matters and Sad but true.

why not listen to them. the way i see it is that the rap music uses the most words they can with the least amount of polyphonic music.
you know, in the dictionary they say that: rap is a type of music were rhymed verses are chanted or declaimed to the accompaniment of forceful repeatitive rythms, played usually on drums or synthesizers.
but it's more: when you listen to rap it's like the singer's soul is singing. i personally believe that rap is the only type of music that expresses truely the singer and NOT his desire for money |

by rap, you see how much creativity the artist has, how well he can "play with words", sometimes its funny, sometimes sad, or angry, it can be completely different at times
and rappers arent just like some pop stars, who decide to be stars and just sing some pointless love songs and go straight to the top(except for some of the new pop-rappers), most rappers have struggled to get their music through, theyve had the police against them(alot of different rappers), the government(Tupac) or even the FBI(NWA)
and i hate music, where the "artist" tries to squese the life out of a guitar and screems as loud as he can, just like a true psychotic. I dont see any music or art in there |
