Icewind Dale 1 - battle against Pomab (illusions& guardi

how can I win this fight? it seems impossible!

I tried to killed the illusions first but they are to fast and teleport away and
I can't hurt them ??? magic spells don't work too

when I try to kill the guardians they become "near death" but never die???

cryshal sentries can not be killed, they will regenerate after they are down. Concentrate your focus on Pomab. He will cast a lot of lightning bolts so it might be wise to protect yourself from electricity. Pomab creates mirror images of himself (six in total). Whenever you hit the real Pomab one of the images disappear. When there are no more mirror images left, then Pomab is an easy kill.

thanx for the tip

I finally made it!

I cast two clouds of death into the room and then left when I came back
the guardians were dead and only 2 illusions left - easy

(hmmm...perhaps that was an exploit...leaving and coming back??)

the final battle was also very easy...have everyone resist fire and then hack the demon to pieces

What a puny final battle compared to Baldur's Gate 1! I never won without cheats! - perhaps I didn't have the right stragegy

what about Icewind Dale's ending? will the demon come back?
