I´m lacking time to post newsbits. Here´s a quick overview:
- 10 high res screenshots @PC Games Online
- First look (German) & 5 pics @Withingames.net forums.
- Piranha Bytes´ Mike Hoge visits T-Games. T-Games is a streamed online show sponsored by T-Online, the biggest German internet provider. T-Online customers can still watch the show online, others might want to check out NBC Europe´s schedule. They´ll broadcast it on Saturday and Sunday.
- New exclusive distributor for Germany (not CH and A!): Koch Media. Publisher is still JoWooD.
Nobody knows for sure when exactly Gothic II will hit the stores. Many different dates are circulating. Complete chaos!
- The game is available in Austria.

They were scheduled to release Gothic as well...only reason I ever stumbled over Gothic was that it was announced as a coming game in a leaflet in Rally trophy.
The different release dates might not be all their doing though,I mean loads of netshops guess wildly about dates and those dates might become a "fact"... |

In short, JoWooD bought the game from them to publish it. _________________ Jaz |

Gothic II was part of the JoWooD - Phenomedia deal a year ago. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

I've yet to come across any JoWood release that hasn't suffered delay after delay after delay.
Here in Australia, I remember waiting for months after the "Worldwide release" of Rally trophy. Then JoWood release a patch prematurely and had to withdraw it.
Now, I'm on the waiting list for the ever increasing delay of Arx Fatalis.
God only knows when Gothic II will ever turn up.
The moment I heard JoWood were the publisher for Gothic II, I was extremely dissapointed and knew there would be one false start after another. They are incompetent!
I really hope they don't end up being the publishers for X2 by egosoft, only they seem to be doing a lot of publishing for small German software houses.

You'll love them (or at least PB) when you start playing the game...
I also got mad when I heard that the game wouldn't hit the shelves as announced - but what are two days compared to the fun Gothic 2 brings? _________________ Green Chili |
