Anymore Infinity Engine Games?

I'm a little slow on getting to games. I always seem to play them after they've been out for a while.

I'm also finished BG and just started IWD.

I love these games and more important I love the infinity engine. I plan on getting and playing BG 2 and IWD 2.

So my question is why don't they ( someone ) make some more D&D games using this engine? I admit I haven't played NWN, but to me the Infinity style engine just feels/looks more like what I enjoy.

Even better would be some way to create modules for IWD or BG. Now that would great.

Just wondering if anyone else is thinking like this.

First of all, yes - Infinity is a very nice engine, or at least it was for quite a time.

With regard to games based on it. These are what I know/played:

1. Baldur's Gate
2. Baldur's Gate: Tales of the Sword Coast
3. Icewind Dale
4. Icewind Dale: Heart of Winter
5. Planescape: Torment
6. Baldur's Gate 2: Shadow of Amn
7. Baldur's Gate 2: Throne of Bhaal
8. Icewind Dale 2

Also keep in mind that there are many nice mods (modifications) for Baldur's Gate series. The best known are - Dark Side of the Sword Coast and The Darkest Day. You can download them for free. These are not completely free of bugs, but I found that those bugs are worth fighting with

As for Aurora engine (Neverwinter Nights) it was a bit hard for me to switch to it from Infinity, but in fact it is not that bad. I think it is just that the first game made with it was not of the Baldur's Gate quality.

The expansion pack for IWD (Heart of Winter) was very short, but if you have it you might as well download “Trials of Loremaster” for free.
