OKay, here's my problem: i have played Gothic 2 up until the beggining of chapter 5. Then, one day, after i saved and such, i decided later to play again. But, when i loaded the game, it crashed in mid load, and an error message cam up saying "an assertion has failed". I started a new game, and it was working fine up until about an hour of play, in which the loading mid-way crashed again, with the same error message. I even Re-installed the program, and the same problem persists. |

Did you install any software between the time you saved and continued to play? _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

But the reinstallation succeeded, so this shouldn't be a problem... |

Yeah, it did work, but I kept the same save games, but still, after about an hour of in-game playing on a new game, it crashes when you try and load it. |

Should I delete everything that has to do with Gothic 2 on my computer and restart my game? Or is there a way to delete what the problem is and continue my game? |

This is hard to say. You could copy your old saves to another location and then reinstall the game. If it doesn´t work you can still copy them back. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

There´s a saves folder in program files\JoWooD\Gothic 2\ or similar. Just copy the whole folder to another place. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |
