Has anyone else noted the return of the phantom X on the screen? It's a faint grey X like the ones for closing a window and you can click on it. I suspect it might be connected with the ads.

I haven't seen the x everytime, but I am still having problems with the popup for spell force. It takes forever to open in box. But the ad is bigger than the box, so I can't see it all. And clicking on the inside of box on the as itself only opens a new page that I still can't see. The biggest pain the last few days is that if I touch the popup at all, I end up with all threads being marked as read. Only way to solve that is to log off the internet all together and log back on. PIA when I was half way through checking out new posts. Also the color of the green part of the forum, (don't know what to call it) is a different color. Darker, or less details or something, I don't know.

I see the X from time to time, and the Spellforce ad just opens as an error for me, so I haven't actually seen that one yet.

The X is a leftover from a not closed window that apparently is used to fire up the Spellforce ad. I'm not sure there is something we can do about this, besides not running the ad of course.

Yes, it is used to fire the Spellforce ad. There is no way around it. Sorry. The spellforce ad will be gone December 8th.

I don't think that's quite fair - it was a "believe it, but can't replicate it" response.

Post your operating system (and version), browser (and version) and Flash version - see if anyone else with the same combination will come forward with similar problems.

I have WinXP, Yahoo browser, but I (stupid question coming) don't know what you mean by flash. What is it and how do I determine what mine is?
