Gothic 3: Release date updated on official site

The release date on the Gothic 3 teaser site has been changed from "Q1 2006" to "2006".

Now JoWooD, Koch Media and Piranha Bytes all have the same date on their sites.

Gothic 3 Delay

I wonder if the likely delay of Gothic 3 is in part strategic, due to the impending release of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and the fact its hardware requirements may be among the steepest of any game. Personally I hope it is delayed, since it will be a much more successful release when it finally does come out.

I don't think there's any chance of that. Everyone who has seen the game (E3 or the Leizpig GC) has remarked on how little was actually complete.
