The others are much better at this then I am, but is the cd scratched? Is your virus protection turned off? What OS are you using? If windows xp, did you try using the run feature and type in the drive and Gothic2-setup.exe?
Weird, it seems like it is an exe file from your replies but the file name is in my cd: Gothic2-Setup.W02 And as soon as i open it it says it couldn't find the program using that file. W02?? Is it suposed to have that ending? |

On "install disc 2" the file name is: Gothic2-Setup.W03
but on the "play disk" there is nothing. |

Ok, i've already tried the "PLAYDISC" once (i'm 100%sure) and i didn't find a single Sh*t. so it can't be that one. |

Do you have a US version or a UK version? The latter comes in a DVD case and has an Infogrames logo. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

That means nothing. Did you configure your windows to display all files, including hidden and system files? The default is 'donīt display them'.
Windows also caches disc directories, sometimes. This is related to the autorun feature. This data is not always updated when you change CDs.
Please list the displayed
disk name
directories
and all files
on the Play CD. Canīt be that many. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

Hey Erik1,
Glad to hear you got it working o.k.
It 's a known fault, the cd manufacturers got the labels mixed up, the the play cd is actually the install 1 cd. _________________ Forever aches my wretched soul, for Chromanin locked in that dark hole, though crypted key i've yet to learn, he knows one day i will return. |
