Gauntlet: Seven Sorrows - Interview @ Shacknews |
|
Shacknews has interviewed John Romero about 'Gauntlet: Seven Sorrows'. Here's an excerpt:
Shack: How much of an emphasis is being put on the story?

John Romero: Gauntlet:Seven Sorrows has two modes of play, Story mode and Advance mode. In story mode, we have a huge story with six player characters that all have fleshed-out backgrounds and their own personal issues as well as having a world that you explore that has its own history and life. Story is a large part of our design. Our Advance mode has no story, it's pure action and you can even simplify the RPG elements to auto-assign items when you pick them up.
|

so the advance mode is in fact simpler than the story mode...why is it called advanced then? or is it that you can advance to the story mode at any time?
