I am currently at level 21, chapter 4. Current Mission is Xardas the Necromancer(the only quest on list). The Free Mine has been attacked. But I have read that there are quest there, did I went too far and missed it? The gate at the Free Mine is shut and I did not see any winch to open it. So does the Free Mine part happen later on? Or did I went too far? Thanks in advance.

Hehe, that's the problem with reading Walkthroughs, and other player's comments.
You always anticipate interesting quests.

The Free Mine quest is one of the most fun ones to play. Because it leads to a bloody battle with the Guards.

You have to talk to Xardas first. Then he'll tell you to go see Ur-Shak at a ruined castle. Then Ur-Shak will tell you to go to the Free Mine.

So you're not really close to the Free Mine quest, yet.
