Mr Ahn, the korean attacker who scored the golden goal against Italy, was currently playing in the Italien club "Perugia". (How ironical). But the President of Perugia soccer club fired Mr Ahn right after the WC match between Korea and Italy, saying that Mr Ahn have betrayed the Italien people and shaken their pride. What's your comment to that Yog?

Let's explain (i *try* because it's tecnical...): AHN is not completely a Perugia player, he had a contract to play the last 2 season there and then he had to be redeemed for 1.5 Millions of €uro... the president of Perugia soccer club, Luciano Gaucci, said that the words spoken by AHN the day before the match (that the Italian soccer is not so good and that he knows all the players and they're not good players and other words not very good for the italian reputation) are disrespectful "for a player that arrived here without the money to pay a sandwich and didn't do such great matches and now, rich, spit on the plate in which he eated" (words of Gaucci)... so now he will not pay the "ransom" and the player will return play in Korea...
(where others NOT Italian but europen teams will buy him for sure IMO...)

Let's say that i've heard the words of Ahn before the match and it was really a bad bahavior... i would understand words to give courage to his team but he said things not true and in a not-educated way...

I hope i've explained well... (the true situation is worst... Italian soccer assiciation is falling and breking... ppl ask the resing of all the heads of the F.I.G.C. (Italian federation of soccer play))

Okay, funny to hear the situation from another point of view. I had my informations from the Danish sensation press, and everyone thought unbelievable. I believe your version (informations) Yog. But it all comes down to what Mr ahn have said and what he have ment before the game. This information don't seem to be available in the Danish press!

Yes it's really funny, hear this:
English, American and German press --> they tell what's happened showing *quite* impartiality.
French press --> told that it was all Italian fault and never mentioned about referees' errors.
Spanish (next Korean opponents!) --> told that things very strange happened and the referee took big mistakes.

the only one that seems to believe us is the team that will play against Korea... does anone know why?

(all the above are what i've heard from italian press so mabe there could be mistakes, no offence!)

At last the England luck ran out.

I’ve said it before the tournament. They simply can’t create anything. All their goals are from dead ball situations or grave mistakes from the opponent. They have got no flair or imagination what so ever. They were lucky so far to get the first goal of the game and then keeping the opposition from scoring.

Not even today with 11 men against 10 did they create anything. I’m glad there’re out. Boring, boring England.

I'll never know because I fell asleep on my couch and woke up during the extra time.

And why do they play friday and saturday instead of saturday and sunday? I mean many people cant watch games during day time. And sunday, no soccer. Stupid! Same for the semi-final, sux for many people.
Personally I dont mind too much coz I dont work but my gf missed all the matches. And I dont like the fact that some teams gets fewer days to rest (USA, Korea...) not fair.

@Yog, is that true?

Mr. Ahn has been on loan from a Korean club. Perugia has an option to buy him when that deal expires. First they didn’t want him anymore because of his criticism of Italian soccer but now they changed their mind. Don’t really know why. The deal isn’t done yet as Mr. Ahn would need to sign a permanent contract, which I doubt he will do.

I haven’t heard he denied speaking poorly about Italian soccer but only that he wanted to play in a bigger league (which somehow is provoking to Italians, I would think)

@Beo & Stealth: yes Mr.Gaucci has redeemed AHN and now it's a player of the Perugia team... it's obvious that the money ruled all of this... Perugia just bought it for 1 Million of € now that AHN worth near 5/6 Millions so that he should be sold to a english/spanish team (not sure, there are unofficial news everyday speaking of him one day here, one day there...)
and about the words of AHN, i've heard them directly from AHN mouth in Italian and he told that :
1. He knew all the players and they are not soo great champions (well it's an opinion so i can't see anything wrong)
2. He and his team would beat the Italy team without problems because he knows the way they play (another opinion)
3. That Italian way of play is very bad (and now i'm just becoming irritated... they deleted 4 regolary goals! We could have been first in our group and with a lot of goals...)
4. That he don't like play in Italy (thanks mr.ANH! you've come here with nothing and now you are rich. you played 5 matches this year and you earned a lot for doing nothing. Please shut up! That words are not provocated nor there was necessity to say that...)
