Is this quest bugged? I've talked to the drunk paladin (by giving him beers) and also to Lord Hagen. When I go to talk to Garvell, I'm supposed to be able to complete this quest. But when I talk to him, all I can do is ask him about the harbor. Is there a workaround to get this quest out of the 'open quests' section of my log book?

Mine wasn't bugged, when did you try to talk to Garvell again? Some quests you have to finish within one or two chapters of when you get it. The hungry hunter is one.

I'm still in Chapter 1. I've talked to Lord Hagen but have not progressed the conversation with him to start Chapter 2. According to a spoiler I read regarding this quest (because I started to get the feeling it was bugged), I should be able to compelte it but I cannot.
I think I may have screwed up the quest by talking to the drunk paladin before talking to Garvel. Oh well.

No, I did that too. Got Rangar drunk before talking to Garvell, and worked for me. Maybe you have a corrupted save game or something?

i had the same problem, talking to all of them again will work, and even if you're in ch2 the quest will work too

I'm almost 100% sure that you have to be in either chapter 2 or 3 before you can finish that quest. If I remember right, the last piece of info Garvell wants is what Lord Harod tells you when he sends you off into the Old Colony. |

You can finish it in chap 1 if you militia and ask Andre. But, yeah, everyone else finishes in 2 after talking to Hagen.

Well if I talk to the drunk guy and give him more beer, he just tells me that I'm a great guy for giving him beer. When you say, 'talk to all of them' you mean the drunk guy and Lord Hagen right? Or is there somebody else?

Something like that happend to me too, when I tried to talk to the drunken Militia he wouldn't give me all the information about the orcs...but when I tried later, at night, it worked..
Btw: Spoiler..if you give Garevell the information in later chapters you'll get more exp  |

2 people are more than enough for me to call them "all of them" since I had to look very hard to find even just one of them,
and btw when you drink a lot of beer at the beerstand, maybe you DO think there are alot of them

Did you talk to Lord Hagen after you talked to him? He gives you the info Garvell wants when you click on one of the talk options you get from him after the first conversation. Ask him why the militia is in the mining area.
