Really, what's so good about Warcraft 3? I am asking this because from what little I've seen, it didn't look like much more than "Build base, have it churn out units then send them to the front line. Oh, and make sure your hero doesn't get slaughtered." Why do people think this game is so great? I want to know. _________________ OMG! WTF?! MONKEYS!!!!

I am a huge fan of Wracraft, so I'll answer.
1-Warcraft has a COOL stary, that is better then MOST RPGs.
2-Warcraft has great grphic.
3-Warcraft has a lot of primary\secondary quests.
4-Just try to play the campaign! |

1. Romance of the 3 kingdoms. (original)
When I was in elementary school (seems like a billion years ago), that game had me addicted for ages on my dad's 8086 computer.
2. Baldur's Gate series.
3. Fallout I&2.
Those bioware game designers have unbelievable sense of humor. BGII really made fun of ethnic stereotypes.
4. Gothic I
5. Xcom-UFO defense.
6. Championship Manager - The soccer management sim that has no graphics and all text. I thought it was gonna suck but boy, it was addicting !! The nickname for that game should be the "computer widow maker" |

I remember entering the Old Camp for the first time was the best gaming experience I've ever had. _________________

I tought Gothic would just be one new wannabee-good-RPG
why doesnt everybody just punches my nose for that?
The boyfriend of my niece recommended it and saw it as the best game ever, we've got the same taste apperantly... I tought i was going to be dissapointed by Gothic 2 because the same guy said there were zillions of bugs, but i don't care about the fact there there being more bugs then their older cousins meatbugs in the game, i got addicted to it when i first moved in the demo in the tower... _________________ One blade good, two blade better |

Well, it was almost the same for me.. I remember the first time I started the game and went around that first bend in the road near the mines, and the entire Old Camp became visible below the mountain! My jaw hit the floor so hard my neighbours evacuated their apartments.
Gothic 2 was a more complete game than Gothic, but no other game than Gothic has ever surprised me that much before or since. At least not positively _________________ Swedes visit NordicGamers for the latest game reviews in swedish! |

Definitely Gothic. Got it the day it was released in Germany and expected it to be similar to the action-adventure/RPG 'Blade of Darkness' ('Severance'). Boy, was I wrong .
Regarding non-RPGs, 'Rogue Spear' and 'Project IGI' were both very pleasant surprises a while back. 'Project IGI 2' is very neat, too. If you like tactical shooters, check them both out. |
