Wow, I just saw the In-game movie, and it was incredible. you are also able to -- when you are dual-wielding -- use only one blade, and let the other one stay on your back. some movements however looked a bit stif. and when he ran off the cliff he just kept running in the air.

Ya the video looks sweet, I love duel wielding.
I've noticed in the vid and the screens that the view distance is not as far as I would like. In particular there seems to be a lot of ground fog. I liked the fact that I could see very far in g1 and 2.

Of course the footage is still pre-alpha and I am sure that it is not optimized yet. I hate short view ranges it is one of my biggest grievences with many games.

Later, rordog

Im with you Patriot...I also think its abit of a let-down...

"Most of the creatures have changed and the trees look like that they were made of plastic" - Patriot

But thats not the main point. The main point is the video!
Sure dual wielding is great, but the combat system...

In the first part of the footage, there was the main character fighting 2 warriors...the combat has suffered so, so much...Everything was stiff. Movements, Strikes, Hits, and were was the strategy in it?

I know its just pre-release alpha vrsn, but it wont change that much in the original. So far it just looks like another arcade game; CLICK_MANIA!...In addition, Its 3rd person view looks similar to that of fable (another let-down)...and finally its looks as though you will be possible to rotate camera angle with mouse, like in Shade: Wrath of Angels (YET another Let-Down)!!!

As you said its Pre-Alpha, which means they are not even code or feature complete yet. So what we are seeing is very rough. I have faith that PB will get it right for the final release.

One thing I hope they will add is a greate range of motion such as leaning or crouching.

Don't forget that were talking about a PRE-ALPHA here. They will be a lot of changes and tweaks before the game is finished. Those movements can (probably will) be improved.

Chekote is right about the controls, but I don't think I will have problems with the new controls.

I wish they'd have a more oragnized and strategic combat system, like the one Severance used. It was imo one of the best combat systems for a melee based game.

You need to upload them to a hostin site.

something like http://img292.echo.cx/ .

Then just post the link here when you upload it.

The graphics undoubtly look amazing, best I've seen in any RPG, even better than the pics of the upcoming Oblivion, but I just can't get a couple of questions out of my head:
1) How will our hero look? How can they make him look anything like he did when the graphics engine is so completely different?
2) What about our friends, Lee, Lester, Diego etc?

I guess the most important thing is to get the voices right, so that they feel the same(if they pull another Diego on us I'll let out a high-pitched scream, hehe).

Still, all in all everything is looking great, and the "features" list displayed several places(for instance in the "official info" thread here) make G3 seem excellent, let's hope it manages to live up to the expectations.
