Hi I hope to found some useful help herem
week ago I bought this add-on.(I am czech, I have official English EU version). At first I installed original Gothic 2 and then the add-on. Veryfiing was succesful, but then I wanna start the game and it do nothing. Just classic Windows sound, but no error appear. Nothing... I found somewhere in this forum, that solution might be to not have the Win xp with SP2. But I dont wanna do that... So, if you have any idea, le me know here, please. I aslo tried to make image and mount it by deamon tools, alcohol 120%, clone CD. I disable all my anti virus programs and addwares. i aslo disabled all programs above. Nothing. I have latest ATI Catalysts 5.7. Original Gothic 2 without expansion works great.
My computer DELL : P4 3.0Ghz 530J(I hope so  ))

Welcome to our forum! 
The first thing to try: Uninstall Daemon Tools, etc. . Start the game and wait at least 5 minutes. The game has to index more than 30.000 files. This can take some time.

Actually I already tried to disable all these programs.Wont help. I will try to wait for some time then and let you know. But what confuses me is the windows sound (this one what let you know that something happend, ussualy some error appears, but it does just the sound but nothing apper.
And I forgot to apologise for my sometimes really ugly English ) I have some digrees of all sorts, but I do no
t have the practise ) |

Well than, I wait for more then half an hour and nothing, I have checked the tasks and no task starts running. Still the same... I am desperate. All for nothing. I am triing almost whole day.

Maybe the error message was copied into the clipboard and you can paste it to a text file. Was an error report created in the Gothic directory?
Install the game on another PC. Then you know whether the game or your PC is the problem.
Your English is fine.

Well, I solve the problem ) The real problem was GamJAck and his virtual drive... Never install it again I recommand you. Thrust me ) It cause a lot of mess. Even if you uninstall the program the drive will stay as it was. SO you will have to reinstall whole WIn to solve it.

I had that problem with G2 but then it mysteriously disappeared. I cant remember what I did because it was a long time ago.
