I noticed that every time the FPS drops for no good reason it was due to a some kind of bug, because when I quit the game, a black screen appears and tells me that there was a problem and asks me if a message should be sent to Bethesda? Anyone encountered this bug? And when I restart the game the FPS is normal and no problem message when I quit the game... _________________ Magic RULES |

That 'exit crash' seems to be fairly common. I've only had it happen once in 150+ hours of play but according to the official tech forums, it appears to be one of the top game crash issues.
They have supposedly fixed the exit crash bug in that beta patch that was released a few weeks ago. Check here at the official Elder Scrolls website but be aware that -if you decide to apply the beta patch- you will probably have to reinstall the game when the final 1.1 patch is released. Your save games should hopefully be safe though since they are separate from the game in MyDocuments/MyGames/Oblivion. |

I frequently get the "exit crash", but it doesn't seem to affect the game, so I'm happy to ignore it.
Unless it's causing you problems, I suggest waiting until the first patch is officially released. _________________ Charlie Dobbie

Ok, whenever your frame rate gets real low in unknown conditions (indoors, or somewhere you know it should be fine...) try to exit at once (save your game before that of course ), if you get the "exit crash", let me know. _________________ Magic RULES |
