Is there any point to trying to get the items needed to join the Mage's Guild in Chapter I?

Yes! If you gat all the four elements and gave them to the guild member you can access to their second quest and if you pass through that.... at the end you'll receive a very powerfull magic object (i use it even now that my wizard is at the beginning of the third chapter!!)

I find it very usefull because all the others cloaks are only + X protection... and for my mage that stays behind a barbarian colossus they are quite useless...

Plus, it's one of the easiest quests to complete while you're walking around. Well worth the little extra time.

Thanks, but ,like a fool, I passed in chapter 2 and lost all the quests. So I got to start ch. 1 again
