i liked more Gothic 1 inventory than the second , cos in the 2 part inventory sometimes i searched for some item quite much time but in G1 every item was under its own genre like potions under potions , weapons under weapons |

I have to agree with you on that, the topic devided inventory was nice, but weapons should be stackable _________________ Want to become a vampire? a warrior in the battle between vampires and werewolves?

I, too, like the G1 inventory more then the second one, though stacking is required. And maybe I'm just blind, but I couldn't find a way to actually drop items in the G2 inventory. I tried Ctrl - Down, but it didn't work... if I just try down, it simply scrolles. It as, however, far more likely that I haven't found the right way to do it. Other then that, perhaps a key-ring might help. I was always having trouble with keys, because I don't know when one ring isn't needed any more and I can drop it.
Also, I think that it should be possible to use Leather Bags, like the findable ones in G2, to store your gold, so that when someone bets you up, they can't steal it.

That should be control + leftmouse button, as far as I know. Just pressing left mouse will make you use it.
Weapons are already stackable in the addon, so I guess that will be G3 the same. _________________ "Who are we to call this planet Earth, when it's clearly Ocean."

Axa, now I got it. It's probably a dumb system, considering I never actually touch the mouse when I play the game... its one of the rare games that doesn't require a mouse at all. _________________ Join the RPGDot Shadows |

Bah, never thought of trying!
Anyway, what are your opinions on the leather bags idea of mine? _________________ Join the RPGDot Shadows |

Wouldent that make it even easier to steal the Gold?
I mean that it saunds simpler to take Gold that is packed in a leather bag rather than taking a large number of loose coins. _________________ Vikings does NOT grow on trees! |

Yes, but how could somebody KNOW thats gold. After that point, there are two options:
1) Make those 'fill-able' bags really scarce, so you can't abuse them (too) much
2) Have a random chance that a bag would be taken too.
I think that 1 is easier programing wise, so thats the option I prefer.
This, however, got me thinking about some stuff... when someone knocks you down, will they really take JUST your gold and potentionally your weapon? No! They will easily take your arrows/bolts, potions, ore, even animal throphies. Still, it is kinda unfair for you to lose your 500 arrows because you were attacked when @ low health, so I think that whoever knocks you down, will take a % of arrows/bolts/potions and a lot of your ore (if its still in the game). So, in essence, they should be able to take most of the things YOU can take from someone. _________________ Join the RPGDot Shadows |

Well if the thief is to run away with evrething from Old Animal troophy to tin plates then why would he then leave a leather bag? _________________ Vikings does NOT grow on trees! |

Those pictures are from the E3. I've already put them in the first post, right after they were released.
I think they should just reshape the inventory and there will be no use of the fillable leather bags. I don't want a limited inventory like in Morrowind or something. _________________ "Who are we to call this planet Earth, when it's clearly Ocean."

Yes alot could be done with the inventory system in G3 one thing that annoyed me in G2 where that i often had to go trough 3 pages of Orc axes before finaly comming to my potions/spells.
Why not simply write 47 Rusty swords insted of using 47 inventory slots on them! _________________ Vikings does NOT grow on trees! |
