Hmm... I don't log into the gamespy arcade to play. I use the built in join internet game, which doesn't work the same way. Still, I'll log in and see what happens. _________________ Estuans interius, Ira vehementi

Actually, I'm waiting for Baalciper, Val, and EX to add me to their lists, or at least let me add them to mine.
I did a few days ago. It says it's still pending authorization though.
I've added you to my list SuperCowMan. My nick is Val23. You probably won't see me online much this week though. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

I have to agree with Gaijin. Games are supposed to be fun, and everyone has their own style and preference of playing. The trick is to find a group of people who concur with your style of fun.
They're nothing wrong with powergaming if you're twelve and that rocks your boat. I've never played P&P roleplaying games, but I've always suspected that when it comes to real roleplaying, CRPGs have almost always tended toward more powergaming and less actual roleplaying.
Even in the superb Bioware cycle of D&D CRPGs, I never found alignment having a significant affect on gameplay, except for the (rather artificial) element of alignment-specific special weapons and armor. And alignment seems to be at the heart of true roleplaying to me.
Sorry, I'm blathering. |

Honestly, I didn't want to have to install the Gamespy client on my PC before. But now that I've tried it, I think it makes things significantly easier. In the NWN interface, there is no way to sort the player list, or search through them. They're not even sorted alphabetically, so anyon who joins gets his/her name thrown at the bottom.... It's all very hard to see if someone you know is there or not. The GameSpy client lets you search for specific people, and add them to a buddy list so you can see if they're online. If one of your buddies is currently playing, it shows a direct link to the game server he/she is on and you can instantly join (if there is still room for you) without searching for the server.
Anyway, it's kind of neat and usefull I think. _________________ =Proud Father of a new gamer GIRL!=
