Casting from a scroll?

How do you cast from a scroll? I want to cast Divine Intervention on my character from a scroll. Can't do it. All that happens is the scroll opens up for me to read it.

I've put it in a quick slot, but that didn't help. Same thing. I enter on the quick slot number and the scroll opens up for me to read.

You just choose it as a spell in the lowest part of the spells menu, and then cast it as any other spell.

BTW:What's a quickslot??? I played the game for a long time, but didn't see any quiuckslots

@SilkenKidden: When you select a quick slot, select the scroll from the magic menu, not the inventory. It should then put you in casting mode when you activate it, so you can cast with a click of the button.

@NOBODY: Press F1. You have nine quick slots, bound to keys 1 to 9. Click a slot, pick from either inventory or the magic menu and select an item. Now when you press the number you will switch to that item. It's a fast way of accessing your favourite weapons and spells without having to go through the inventory screen.

I already know it. When I read this post, I run Morrowind & saw this in the "Controls".

Thank you both for your help, especially about selecting the scroll from the magic menu. I can now use scrolls and transport all my loot (as one of the NPC's advised when I asked for "little advice.")

Does Divine Intervention take you to a random town or the nearest?
