Does the Rapid Reload skill affect bow as well as crossbow, or just the crossbow? My bow is so damn slow that even a koblod with a crossbow is faster  |

If it were up to the manual, the rapid reload feature only affects the crossbow. |

If it were up to the manal, yes. But I can't see why I wouldn't get to be faster with a bow, is there other skills that affect the speed then? |

Well, I was never bold enough to experiment.  I tend to believe manuals... In answer to your second question I would say dexterity, but I don't really know. I just noticed that the higher level you are the faster you shoot. Duh. |

More dex will not fix the problem (outside of allowing rapid shot).
The way the game is set up, I believe the rapid reload only applies to cross bows ... I *think* it allows the same number of shots with a cross bow as with a regular bow. Cross bows require reloading, so you only get one attack per round (or something like that, it might be one for two ... dunno as I've never used a cross bow with character of high enough level for this to be an issue).

Reloading a bow is a free action, and so you can fire as many arrows as you have attacks.
Reloading a crossbow is a move-equivilent action and so you can only fire once a round, regardless of number of attacks.
Rapid reload brings crossbows up to bow speed, and that is all.

Well, I found the Rapid Shot skill now, so that gives one more attack per round for my bow  |

Rapid shot is invaluable to archers with bows
Now all you need is the bow "Forever" and you're set. |
