Oblivion Character Worksheet Program |
|
I created an Oblivion Character Creation Worksheet that is being hosted by a member of Bethesda's official oblivion forums.
You can download it here (Courtesy of Blob):

I'm trying to get this hosted at other sites but for now this is the only place to get it

Goodness gracious me, 37 megabytes!
Of which 34 megabytes is the Access runtime...
Ever thought about a different platform for distributing applications? _________________ Charlie Dobbie

I could make just the file available. But I figured most people don't have access on their machine.
I could have made it using straight up VB... but then I'd still be maing it right now and probably for the next few weeks... just not worth the time.
I understand it's a bit large, but really, these days you can down load a gameplay video for an upcoming game and it will be 200+ mb so I'm not really sure why 37mb is an issue. _________________ The Poster Previously Known As NeptiOfPovar |

I understand that it was your volunteer job (well done) and so you have no duty to change it.
However for example for me with dial-up modem, 37 MB means 2 to 3 hours download :]. |

I heard rumors that there were still pockets in the world where dial up modems were still used, but I thought they were just urben legends!
If you have Access 2003 I can email it to you... without having to include the Access Runtime part, the file size is only 3.4mb. _________________ The Poster Previously Known As NeptiOfPovar |

I discovered on an Oblivion forum that there was a misprint in both the Oblivion game manual as well as in the Prima Hint Guide for Oblivion. As it turns out, you only get a +5 point bonus for skills matching your specialization instead of a +10 point bonus. This has been fixed.
If a future expansion or mod changes the value of any of the following constants:
-Bonus For Favored Attributes
-Bonus For Skill Specialization
-Starting Value of Minor Skills
-Starting Value of Major Skills
You can now change these constants by clicking on the Tools menu and selecting Global Options. Go to the Constants Tab and make any necessary changes.
Note: When changing the constants as described above, existing characters will not have their statistics change until you change something about that character which re-calculates the stats of that character using the current values of the constants.
Grab It Here:

Yes, discovered that inaccuracy last night - a bit of a git.
The version of OCCW I downloaded also had some confusion over the controlling attribute for Block - it was listed as dual Agility/Endurance, when I believe it's just controlled by Endurance. Another documentation mess-up, I believe!
Have you thought about extending your tool into the maintenance side of characters, for example something for the obsessive-compulsive players like me to help plan our level-up bonuses? _________________ Charlie Dobbie
