If G2 English is released in Apr/May, I doubt they'll give us the Gold Edition in Sep->Dec. They'll probably release the Gold Edition in 2004.  |

The first post was slightly unprecise. Koch Media announced the Add-0n for Q2. And they´re considering to release the Gold Edition in Q3.
Sounds a bit early to me. I expect the Gold Edition for Christmas.
edit: It seems 5/31/03 was confirmed by JoWooD.

So, JoWooD have the date for the addon, even though the guys from Piranha Bytes are still developing the addon.
In contrast, PB has already finished G2 English, but JoWooD still don't have an exact date for us.
Am I right? |

Almost. JoWooD were forced to confirm the date.
Bertelsmann (before the AOL-Time Warner merger this was the world´s biggest media company) announced the Add-On. And PC Games, the one of the two big mags with a _generally_ positive attitude towards JoWooD, asked them for confirmation. Should they have called their worldwide biggest customer outside the hardcore gamer segment a liar? Impossible.

Honestly, Gorath, do you think PB will develop an English addon for G2?
I highly doubt it. I don't even think G2 English *deserves* an addon.
Many G2 fans have already lost their interest to the game due to the delays (and JoWooD didn't give us ANY info about the delays. ) Additionally, most gamers in the English-speaking countries haven't even heard of this game due to JoWooD's poor marketing strategies. H*ll, I (and Val) haven't even seen a single advertisement of G2 outside RPGDot. Moreover, I don't think G2 English will be given positive reviews from game mags. First of all, the graphics in G2 is outdated, as 2003 will be a big year for graphics IMHO. Second, RPG's seemed to receive a lot of hype in 2002, and G2 missed that year.
Unless you can "break" my reasons, I don't think G2 English will be a success anymore. And will PB/JoWooD develop an addon for an unsuccessful title? I highly doubt it.

I wonder, if we have to wait two months more for GII, how long do we have to wait for the add-on? Maybe if you double all dates from the GII release date is Q2 2003 the add-on release will be Q4 4006, right?
