| please help: health potion shortcut keys don't work |

I changed the setting in gothic.ini to usePotionKeys=1, then restarted the game, but still can't see the key commands in the controls menu. I would appreciate any info about what might cause this--maybe I'm supposed to look somewhere else?

i tryed it also onze to enable but never did get it to work mayb its impossible in ini file mayb somewhere else |

I have the english version, and if you activate de useportionkey=1, then the "use health" or the "use mana" potion appears in the Control, Extende Configuration.

The potion keys do not appear in any of my menus (english version), after setting that flag. But that doesn't matter, because the keys are H and P, they just work, you don't need to find them anywhere.
But don't use them, it is instant use so it makes the gameplay lame. If they had implemented it to take time to drink from the bottle while the monster is still after you then it would have been fine (some other games do it that way). |
