| Mortis and strength training |
|
Hi guys,
Just finished Gothic I (fantastic!) and moved to Gothic 2.
I'm in chapter I and just joined the Militia. Ardas told me that Mortis will help me train my strength skills. I visit Mortis, at the smith house inside the barracks, but no such option is available!!!
What gives?? (I have the english version 1.31)

If I am not mistaken you need to learn 3 strength first with the blacksmith in the harbor

I also think you have to get his helper to return to work, it is a quest(I can't remember his name), he is in the Red Lantern.

Could also be a bug - there is a well-known bug with Mortis' strength training. I experienced it firsthand, he would never train me, nor did the option to ask him to train ever show up. You can visit this http://www.rpgdot.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=29878 for more info on the bug.

First you can try to ask Mortis any question, it may lead to the option you want.
You can always go back to one of the guildless save games then go to Torlof to train your strength. I am surprise that you reached militia stage and yet the strength is lower than 60. Are you a ranger? |

Torlof is at the merc camp(Onar farm). He only trains guildless up to 90.
For the second question. What I meant is the train option(Mortis) does not come up after you ask him a few questions. |
