I love many things! Are you saying I should be wasting loads of time just for that.

By the way... ever played Dungeon Siege? There goes my sleep

I think I'm about half way through, (about 26 hours in) although I'm pretty slow through these games. It's pretty good, I liked Gothic much better, but Dungeon Siege is way fun!

Maylander will absolutely hate it, they don't get much more linear and your party becomes an unstoppable force very early in the game.

Also, Pack mules are about the most fun ever, they're so cute! I love the way the dwarf runs, too.

I do not think games are a waste of time. I have read reports that they increase your hand-eye coordination; but they're also a lot of fun. It takes you to another level of reality when you're playing a good game, and that to me is really important.

Games are not a waste of time. Games are a waste of time. Both of these statements are true at the same time. That is the great paradox of gaming. Games are very useful, though. They're highly structured time wasters (like books, movies, basketball). You adopt an ethos for that given game, and within it you are free to operate. Game theory demonstrates that the observation of game behaviors can improve our knowledge of people.

So, I must conclude that games both are and are not wastes of time.

I saw this in a movie about a bus that had to SPEED around a city, keeping its SPEED over fifty, and if its SPEED dropped, it would explode. I think it was called, "The Bus That Couldn't Slow Down."

Way earlier in thi s thread some one wrote something like:

"Try doing *nothing* fun at all for a few months..."

You would either change your opion of fun, or go nuts. Every work-a-holic I've ever know either enjoys the work, or enjoys complaining about it

Gaming is not a waste of time. Spending *all* your spare time gaming might be a waste, but only if you do something else fun *and* constructive, like gardening, sailing, fencing etc.

As Gig (I believe it was Gig) wrote - This is time much better spent then in front of a TV, at least when gaming there is *some* input on your part.

PS - I am not a very good American. I own only one TV, and it is an a very isolated room. Last week I watched the movie "Pink Panther". I can not recall using it at any other time in the last 3 weeks.

Everything on Earth is a waste of time. It just depends on how a person sees what is a waste or what is not.

Since in our world, if you aren't doing something costructive, you are wasting you time, games will always be a waste of time (unless you are a programmer...).
Strange that reading a book isn't jet been accused to be a waste of time (it isn't costructive)... and then perhaps they'll say that spending time with your boyfriend/girlfriend is a waste of time... strange world!

I read that if you play computer games you get better reflexes, you get smarter, youīre logical thinking gets better, and so on.
I also read that you get cancer by playing games, you get sick easily, and so on.
You can say I read everything.

A waste of time is when you do something that you or someone else think isīnt worth the time. I think that computer games isīnt a waste of time.
My parents and all the old all knowing people think that it is a waste of time. But I donīt, so it isīnt a waste of time for me but maybe for them.
