SWG: Jump to Lightspeed - Release Date Hint

'Star Wars Galaxies' Producer Gary "JustG" Gattis has made a post to the 'Star Wars Galaxies' Test Center (TC) forums where he more or less confirms that the 'Jump to Lightspeed' space expansion is on track for a late October release (though a slight delay seems possible due to the "+" in his post ).
Gentle Peeps,

Although we try to maintain the integrity of TC as much as possible, with the JTL Beta coming it is going to be impossible to not break a few eggs, so to speak. It is assured there will be corrupt legacy data, and all other kinds of fubar stuff, when we get through with this.

Accordingly, we are going to go ahead and commit to rolling TC back (to the state it was in on 10/6/04) after JTL goes live.

This means you can go nuts, stop paying maintenance, burn the houses to the ground, and in general cause as much mayhem as you want, because the next three + weeks are not going to be permanent.

Again, we thank you so much for your dedication, and have fun!!

I'm playing around in the beta right now.. graphics are nice (not as good as eve), gameplay is good (although I have not found a pvp battle to try out yet). Missions need more depth though (and a lot more of them), or its just gonna be another grind, SOE style. I find myself pretty close to cancelling my pre-order for this one, and closing up my SWG account for good, as I don't know yet if it's going to have what it takes to keep me, especially with WoW being so much better (even if it isn't the same type of game).

But seeing that they plan on releasing in 3 weeks, and seeing once again that the game wont be ready for release, it will probably make the decision to cancel that pre-order much easier.
