I know this is very stupid but i did try. So how do i pick up meatbugs anyway? or can i? |

Smash it with an axe or your fist, then leave combat-mode and pick up the remainings. |

Its not easy to smash those meatbugs. Keep punching, one will eventually connect. I prefered kicking myself.

Those Meatbugs are a little buggy.
The Gothic fight models only hit eachother IF THE SWORD HITS ITS TARGET!
The Meatbugs are really small, but the trick is to get right in front of it, then strike twice. The first hit will miss, but the second will hit.
You have to be so close, that you're almost standing on it. |

I know this may seem pointless but, how do I pick thibgs up at all? I tired walking over them, in combat mode and not, using the action key, running over items, jumping over items, etc. I am so frustrated, can anyone tell me?

U cant pick up the living Bug but if u killed him (best is with pickaxe) u can go out of the fight mode, bring the Meatbug in focus (u see the name) and hit LeftMouseButton and cursor up.
Now u see the inventory of the Meatbug and the meat is selected so u have to hit LMB +cursor right to transfer it into your inventory.

The action key is the key to all things Gothic. Either cntrl or left mouse button, but holding that combined with arrow keys does about everything. Picks things up, looks in inventory of the dead, moves items from their inventory to your inventory, picks locks, opens doors, opens chests. You name it, thats how you do it.
