I'm trying to swim in the harbor ... but everytime that I jump in, I end up standing
on my head at the bottom of the ocean and then I drown ... please teach me how to swim ... thanks!
Also, I just cannot find the Darkside inn ... would you please tell me where it is?

You can change the direction in which you swim with your mouse and then press LMB to swim. Don't press the up arrow, that makes you dive down.
Just press LMB and use the mouse to direct your hero to the surface.

If you are using keyboard only you use the arrow keys to change your direction and the alt key to swim(underwater). Once on top of the water the up arrow makes you go forward, and you'll see what the other arrows do. To dive again use ctrl(or maybe is it alt)+up arrow.
There is not a "Darkside inn" that I know of. That does'nt mean it does'nt exist.....If it does, it is one of the inns in Khorinis. I don't remember thier names lol. But I think you have the name wrong.

Heehee, I think you mean the DOCK-side inn. That would be the tavern in the harbor across from Lares's daytime position, and it's where Lares goes during his night time position.
