Well, there's not much to it. You cast a spell, it does damage, or knocks someone out, or whatever it is specified to do. You want to use stronger spells, you need to get into a higher circle of magic, or get a spell scroll. Get more mana, get more spells. Spells usually go something in a field of Fire or Lightning, doing fire and magic damage, respectively. Other spells like sleep do just what they say. To us a spell, just target a creature (or person) and press the action button and up and cream them with magic.

Or were you aiming at learning something else?

Spells work without the delay they had in Gothic.

Delo: Some spells worked only some time after you had casted them,or casting took a long time. In GII spells load faster.

Runes - skills (like Diablo2) would be better.. but OK.
I just hate no mana regeneration... Don't you think that eating special food
for each x fireballs sucks? ;/
Mana regenaration should incrase with each magic circle:)

mana regeneration would make the game alot more easy..but that dont make it better!!
just go to sleep and regenerate anyway..thats simple enough for you.

IMO mage isn't a guy with a minigun in hand, and mana isn't an ammo.
BTW you can only sleep in bad, and sleeping whole day for few fireballs (like I did in NN) is quite stupid.

What doesn’t make sense? His opinion that being a Mage, isn’t like being a Rambo running around with a minigun or the fact that you can only sleep in a bed?

zibzi's mouth runs faster than his brain thinks...

j/k man.

well, you didn't need mana regeneration too bad in the first Gothic since the spells cost next to nothing anyways. But in G2, the spells seem to use much more mana. Some type of regen would probably be handy, unless they've changed those things since the demo, which they very easily could have. I was just uncomfortable with the fact that the fire bolt cost one mana in G1 but it now costs 5 and you only start off wit 10 mana. Being a mage may be harder than ever now, even *with* the delay gone.
