Damn!!! This is the good stuff

i downloaded the demo of gothic to see why almost everyone on this site says its the best RPG, i have just played the demo for nearly as five minutes and got wacked when punched a guard by mistake...

Man this game is great, i cant believe i`ve been wasting my time with morrowind for so long instead of playing this jewel, but i have to say the controls are messy, it took a while to know how to talk to people and then i didnt notice i was in combat moda and punched that stupid guard, i just stoped playing the demo to make this post and to get my copy from chipsbits.com, i hope i can play this one enough before the us release of gothic 2, i dont want to get the uk version because they are too restrictive about violence.

Man im a new gothic fan now,,,

erm.. anyone want to buy a copy of morrowind

The UK version of Gothic 2 is the same as the original (German) one, violence-wise. So: no restriction.

You must have us mixed up with someone else. The only games I know of where the UK has restricted the gore was the Carmageddon series, and that was overturned.

now im thinking which one to buy, because a stupid preview of Goathic 2 in Gamespy ruined me the ending of gothic1, but u think im getting this one because im a bit of game collector and i never feel good playing 2º parts without have played the first.

(u really have to excuse my english)

well!! i think i just got all those ideas from uk games from an article i read once in pc gamer, it said thay got zombies in carmageddon, tried to stop GTA from selling and that kind of things.. also i remeber having read in these forums about some gore restrictions to Fallout. What is life without gore?

i know it appears that my eximent just for the first quest can give you the feel that i havent played rpg games before, but the thing is that this game IS everything i whised morrowind to be.

I definately suggest playing through Gothic before moving on to Gothic 2. You won't be disappointed.

If you want to make sure you get all the quests and Exp. Pts possible, there's an excellent FAQ/Walkthrough available by JemyM. Good Hunting!

sure, if you play a game with the guide in your hand it gets real boring, i use the guides when im going through the game a second time to see all the things i missed the first time.
