i thought that in gothic2 the new world was much better with a lot more interesting places and people to visit and that VOM wa quite boring because it had lost all 3 camps well 2 camps and most of the 3rd one anyway and also you were'nt free to wander around at lower levels because of the orcs _________________ >>>-------(-_-)----------> |

In the VoM, especially the first time I went there (and especially at night ), everything seemed so dangerous. I was forced to sneak around and avoid orcs. Going to the mining camps was one of the greatest parts of the game, and by the end I was running low on anything that would heal me. It was a fabulous experience. _________________ OMG! WTF?! I prefer the world of Khorinis (the New world). More lush and trees. It's more like a real inhabited world. VoM is one big desert, with nothing but burned houses. And of course a swamp, volcano, stone castle and an ice world. |

the valley of mines indeed was the best place cos u were in there in G1 and it was damn interesting to see old places and what they are now and all that but also in G2A the newest world what is made there u will like it alot it was damn interesting but about the New World it was just like an ordinary place |

The VoM is by far the best world..there is nothing like cutting through hordes of orcs with a dragon slicer , visiting old places and seeing what has changed. I was really annoyed about not being able to see the Sect camp..I wanted to see what happend to the old Templar vetrans...and (if Lester was right) killing them coz they've lost their minds! |

I think I would have to say the VoM from G1...
But the New world from G2 deserves special
credit for one feature (among others) that puts G2
apart from all its peers, and that is a believable, thick and
well designed forest, not just a sparse assortment of trees.
It gives the impression that it is much larger than it really
is and makes you feel that you could lose your way in it
(well almost ). That is great for setting the mood for a fantasy RPG.
Also the foliage is well designed an diverse (not the same tree model
endlessly repeated which creates an unrealistic effect) .
I expect even bigger-Darker forests in G3 from you guys(PB) . |
