re: G2 controls

There is at least one control that is not in the manual or even mentioned in the popular FAQs. When you use a transformation scroll to turn into a wolf for example, when you want to turn back to self again, hit ENTER.

I liked the gothic controls really much. It was so different than the simple klicking to fight like in D and D2
I knew you could change them in G2 but I played it with the G1 controls. pure control over the combat . Just loved it that way

I never played G1 , but I also used the G1 controls. They are pretty much like in Severance (but then with a mouse), so it's was easier for me to use those controls.

I also used G1 controls since it works fine so far. I feel that a hot key for potions will make the game too easy. This may change when the english version of NotR arrives, if it arrives at all.

I never used it, it takes the complete strategy out of the fighting in G2. I love the nice gulp of a potion

I also never used it, but that's because I didn't know which one button it was (still don't know ). I don't think it's needed in any case.

Go to "game settings" then turn off "G1 controls". This will open up the custom controls in G2.

wasnt there a problem with the drinking or eating while some creature attacks you ? i mean if u drink a strenght potion and a wolf bites you everytime then those strenght potions will be unlimited allways.

It happens that you drop the potion and so can use it twice, but unlimited?? Never had that.

re: G2 controls

There is one control in G2 that I think needs improvement. It is the control to fry meat. In G1, to fry meat, you use a pan then just hold the CTRL key and click the forward repeatly. In G2, there are 2 ways: (1) with the pan, you need to click the CTRL then the hero will kneel down and fry the meat, then he get up and you need to click again and the same process. (2) with the stove, you need to use the same CTRL key but you have to wait until the hero straighten himself up before you can click again. Hmm, it's so boring and compared to G1, it's worse.

I wish that we could fry ALL the meat the hero has in one click.
