i've got a real problem here: one of my savegames is broken. to be more specific: my savegames/save3/newworld.sav has broken i am unnable to start the game  because it crashes every time after the pyrana bytes logo
i can't change the name of the file, nor delete it.  Is reinstalling the game the only option, and if i do, can i copy the other saves out of the gothic 2 directory before deleting?

allright i fixed it: i renamed the folder in wich the broken save was located and the i was able to delete it!

if you dont want to broke another saved game dont save everytime on the same slot.
There are 20 slots to save your games and if you dont want to overwrite some of them then cpy/paste them somewhere else and then delete the originals from c:program files/jowood/gothic 2/saves or wherever this folder is and then you have 20 slots opened and free.......Enjoy!

i couldnt overwrite them in anyway, not copy-pasting above it and such, because it was a broken file. But i fixed it, and it was the savegame that i always use, and i had to play for 4 hours till i got where i was before, but its history. Lets not think of those horrible days where i couldn't play the greatest game on earth! yes, it truly was horrible, almost like you can see your little brother breaking your CD in two peaces with that evil smile  of his on his face. But thats another history
