No, it still was version 0.60 when I got it. It was in June. I don't use it, because I don't have any old games (except X-Com Apocalypse), which I'd like to play. |

Strange, why did it show up NOW??? It's been released for a long time. Also there're some more imitators that are more popular.
I have known about it for a while. It just grabbed my attention because it supports protected mode now. _________________ IMHO my opinion is humble |

I read about this program and thought WOW! and rummaged through my flat to find all my old games of the past. Then I started installing them, reading the readme file and cursing. After about 3 hours I finally gave up after not being able to install and run even ONE game with that piece of crap application. The games I tried to run were: Ultima VII, Realms Of the Haunting, StoneKeep and System Shock. Bah! |

Welcome to the world of emulation. Definately not a realm for the impatient. _________________ IMHO my opinion is humble |

Well, mounting a drive is fairly unccommon on the PC platform - at least when there's no Unix-derivate running on it. |

I sent a mail yesterday to RPGDOT staff (newsteam@rpgdot.com) informing about release of DOSBOX 0.62. It seemed to be ignored (it did not made it to news), so I post info here as well. Go to DOSBOX homepage for details and downloads.

I highly recommend that anyone who wants to use DosBox download the D-Fend GUI (Available from the DosBox site).
It makes setting up Dos Games a lot easier. _________________ IMHO my opinion is humble |
