| EQ2/WoW Subscriber numbers? |

Just curious if Sony/Blizzard had released any subscriber number details yet? Links ...speculation even?  |

Yep. 600,000 for WoW and 310,000 for EQ2. Too lazy to dig up links but if you look through our news on MMORPGDot, you'll find an announcement from Blizzard and the EQ2 numbers come from John Smedley's (Sony Online President) post on update / adventure packs.
While WoW has obviously "won" the short-term battle, EQ2's numbers are more than respectable.

Keep in mind though that wow hasnt been released in europe yet. There were 340,000 betaslots that were only available by preordering which were sold out a month or so ago. A safe estimate would be that 400,000 copies will be reached easily in europe.
Btw i am playing eq2 so dont accuse me of being a wow fanboy just giving the facts. |
