RPGs worth buying

I need to know some good RPGs to buy to hold me over while I wait for Gothic 2. Does anyone know any RPGs somewhat like Gothic, OTHER THEN MORROWIND
I already have Morrowind and its NOTHING like Gothic. Its my least favorite RPG by far

What you mean "like" Gothic... what features are you looking for?

Arx Fatalis, perhaps?

Then again, I normally would recommend Morrowind since it's FAR better than Gothic IMO.

Actually, it's a matter of taste. If you liked the size, looks and partial un-/linearity of Gothic (and will settle for older games), try (non-RPG)Redguard. It's Gothic-y in all those regards mentioned. If you liked the gritty atmosphere, Arx would be a likely candidate.

Arx is ok, but Morrowind is definatly better and I agree that Gothic is better then Morrowind.

Dont you like games like Baldurs Gate?, theres lots of good titles similiar to it, Divine Divinity, Arcanum etc.

I guess what i mean by "like Gothic" is that the world is sort of "alive." Like the NPC's interact with each other and talk to you and have daily routines like eating and sleeping. That was one thing that made me love Gothic, and not like Morrowind.

DD wouldn't be a bad choice either. Have you played some of the older games like Fallout and Deus Ex? One that was really hard to get into (very slow tedious start), but which really picked up and became very enjoyable was Anachronox.

Hmmm...I've never heard of those games, I don't think. What are they about?

Game of the Year?

What changes were made in the GOTY edition of Deus Ex? The reason I ask is because I have the original game, but not the GOTY edition.
