spiketrap

I swam to the island across the harbor and discovered a cave there.
Inside is a spiketrap covering the entrance to a part of that cave containing
lots of chests with nice goodies.
I managed to jump over the trap to on entering, however this doesn't seem to work on leaving. Any tips? Can I disable the trap ?

If possible, use teleport runes to transfer back to the city.

Otherwise, the only way is re-loading a save game or use cheat.

Next time when you enter the treasure cave, pull the secret switch on the lamp inside the cave. My instruction is misleading, but here is a screenshot of my knight pulling this secret switch.

The spike trap will be disabled after you did this.

It's possible to get back out without cheating.

I never discovered the switch either. So I got creative.
Strafe sideways for as long as you can, then jump. You'll clear the spikes without taking any damage.

i've been there before (w/o lockpick skill) and couldn't get out, so I found only 100 gold in the unlocked chest.

What is in the locked chests? (Not sure if it's worth going there for 100 gold and some crap)

Also lock comboes would be great if possible.

Lastly, where can i buy some more lockpics, cept from the carpenter guy? I've accidently used a lot of em and forgot to re-load.

The lock chest has like 500 gold worth of crap, at least. I think it has 300 Gold, and some Chalices and Dishes.

To get more lockpicks, join the Thieves Guild. You get more lockpicks than you could ask for.
If you've already ratted out the Thieves, then you'll just have to make do with what you have. Which is very little. You might get 10 more lockpicks by the end of the game. haha.
... Or cheat.

It took a while, but I made it out without using any cheats or potions or anything. I ran and jumped when I got part of the way across. It took a bunch of tries, but it finally worked. There was one chest that it said I needed a key to unlock. So I might have to go back. Thanx for the tip about the secret switch! That'll save a lot of trouble.
